OUR CHURCH FAMILY

The Christian Learning Center of Nicosia is hosted by the church of Christ meeting on John Kennedy across from King of Toys. We gather every Sunday for worship, deep Bible study, and meaningful communion. The church is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, and we invite you to join us in spiritual growth and fellowship.
Sunday Gathering: 10:30AM
Wednesday Bible Study: 7:30PM

OUR MISSION

Christ's church in Cyprus is dedicated to spreading the good news (gospel) of Christ,
nurturing Christian faith, and training future leaders in God's kingdom.

Our goal is to know and to show Jesus Christ. As we are charged in the Great Commision:
“Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'”
– Matthew 28:18-20

We are firm in our beliefs and follow the rules and examples set for us in the New Testament.

Our practices and beliefs.

If you have further questions regarding our beliefs and practices, please reach out via the contact page.

Trinity

Beliefs

We believe in God, who has revealed Himself in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 13:14)

Father

There is one true God, eternal & almighty, who created the universe and continues to sustain His creation.(Deuteronomy 6:4-5)

Son

He sent his only son, Jesus, to live on earth and die for our sins. (John 3:16)  Jesus was raised from the dead and reigns eternally in heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:4; 1 Peter 3:22)  Jesus was given all authority in heaven and on earth. (Matthew 28:18)

Unity

We believe and uphold the desire of Christ to have unity among believers, and we hold firmly to the oneness as found in the Bible.

“Therefore I [Apostle Paul], the prisoner in the Lord,  urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit — just as you were called to one hope, at your calling — one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.” –‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭6‬. Those who have called on the Lord Jesus' name through baptism have entered into the one body and seek to be united with the rest of the church. (Acts 2:37-39; 22:16; 1 Corinthians 1:10)

Holy Spirit

While miraculous gifts ceased with the completion of the New Testament, the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead who indwells Christians, empowers them for godly living, and works through the Word of God. (Romans 8: 9-11)

Practices

Sunday Gathering

We meet each first day of the week to encourage one another, take communion, and edify the church. During this gathering, we also pray, sing, and hear from the word of God. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Hebrews 10:24)

Our authority comes from God through His words, the Bible. We do not uphold other texts or traditions, words of humans, or any other source as equivalent to the Holy Scriptures. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Singing

When you visit us for any gathering, you may notice that we sing with our voices and no accompaniment. We choose to focus on the words sung and on singing to one another in order to teach and admonish one another through songs. (Colossians 3:16)

Reading of the Scriptures

Our Location

We meet at many different places and times. Our Sunday gatherings are at John Kennedy 53 (Nicosia) across from King of Toys. We meet at 10:30AM Sundays to have communion and again Wednesday at 7:30PM for reading and study of the Bible. If you want more information, please reach out to us via WhatsApp or our contact form.
